“Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.”
-Barbara de Angelis
It feels like the French Riviera is right in the heart of Europe – in Switzerland. I cannot even believe it that it’s September?! Obviously, it is September because my I’m not going to work anymore right now (my internship is over)… It feels weird actually having a lot more free time and being flexible with my day schedule 🙂 However, the best time to still enjoy the few upcoming weeks until University starts 🙂
Spending the whole day at home made me think a lot and I thought some of you might relate to it too? Life has a way of getting away from us, at least that’s how I’m feeling lately. Weeks feel like days, July feels like yesterday, and sometimes I’m left wondering what it is that I actually did with all the time?
A little bit of kindness
Mostly it’s pieced back together by the larger events dotting the months – friends birthday, traveling, events, etc. But other times, the smaller things come in and make you remember the moments in between – the moments you were really living. The moments you weren’t caught up in something and were simply being. And if those moments are spent in kindness then it doesn’t matter that it all flies by.
The moments I’m talking about are the ones spent listening, dreaming, smiling at strangers, holding the door open for people you will never know, making sure your friends know just how great you think they are. I feel like so many people believe that their voice doesn’t have the power to make a difference. But it can make a difference in one persons life every day just by being kind, and that’s pretty big if you ask me. And imagine not only the person who receives your little act of kindness benefits but also your overall feeling improves. I feel more content and just positive with where ever I am or what I do.
“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
― Mark Twain
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
― Desmond Tutu
Not to mention, that we radiate more positive energy when we wear clothes we feel comfortable in. Some days it’s just all about dresses and other days I feel just good in Mom jeans 🙂 How do you like the outfit?
What about you? How do you encounter summer days? And what are your tips to implement more kindness in your life?
