So it’s been a while right? I don’t know but I guess it’s by living in London I am constantly busy doing this or that… And sometimes it’s just easier to take care of Instagram because it’s less time consuming. But not that this mean that I am less passionate about the blog. Let’s call it priorities 😉

So but now back to the actual topic of this post… I wanted to share some of the thoughts that have kept my mind busy in a very good way 🙂

On Happiness…

Now and then I find myself worrying about the future or thinking about the past. But that just makes me unhappy and anxious. Instead I train myself to appreciate the present and be grateful for every day I wake up and I am alive. Sometimes, the present moment might not be of greatest comfort (schoolwork, chores, stuck in traffic jam etc.) but instead of focussing on how poor you are and how bad it is and even get angry… See the positive side: Probably you are meeting a friend afterwards, you can enjoy a clean house, or it’s weekend soon…

I think especially Social Media mainly Instagram raises the impression that the other people lives are perfect and you are a sucker. Buuuut, let me tell you the true (and I have to remind me this myself over and over again…), we tend to show only the best/good moments of our lives on Social Media. And a collection of perfect moments does definitely trigger the need for comparison or admiration but is not 100% all the time real life. Be optimistic about your own life. Optimism and self-esteem are some of the best indicators of people who lead happy lives. Happy people feel empowered, in control of their lives, and have a positive outlook on life. Finding things, you really love doing is so important for your well-being. On Sustainability…

It all started with feeling unhappy and stressed with all the things I had in my wardrobe and possessions in my room. With moving out in May, I got into the Minimalism approach. Even though I know, that as a fashion lover it’s not easy to reduce shopping. However, when I emptied my wardrobe and reduced it to about half of the pieces before, I felt so free and content. That’s something that minimalism can really help, to reduce stress and feel happy. And it will be more sustainable and environment friendly as you consumer or buy less. I think, not exclusively but coming hand in hand is the decision about what you really want to invest, and what adds value to your life and makes you happier. Naturally (and possibly even more since I am so passionate about Yoga, veganism and spirituality), I started looking and researching in fair and sustainable fashion. And at first it feels like an unorganized jungle but slowly I am getting an idea and shaping my own opinion. (For now I leave it here, but definitely more on that in the future :))

On memories…

These photos were in fact taken shortly before I left St.Gallen. Looking at these make me dwell in memories. But happy memories and it’s about the good time I had there and about all the lovely people I got to know. And instead of focussing on the past, realizing that also where I am now, I can meet so many new beautiful people and make new memories through the experiences….
