Hello guys!
It’s already more than a week that I am back in Switzerland and somehow I feel still not fully arrived mind-wise. The time in Bali was the most valuable experience in my life and especially I think personally it helped me to grow in so many aspects. I am someone that needs to be always busy and always achieve as much as possible. So much that I constantly felt a deep pressure and stress inside, and in the end I had never enough time for what I wanted to do…
Since I am back (this might be the reason for the overdue post…) I am actually living in the moment. I managed to take the relaxed attitude from Bali with me. I just feel good and without pressure. If I don’t do something today, tomorrow is another day and no one will blame me for that. Well, honestly speaking it was also before not really someone pushing, it was more my personal behaviour.
I started integrating and dedicating every day around 1 hour only for myself in the morning before work with a Yoga practice. The impact on my daily mood and energy is unbelievable! It’s just an amazing feeling πŸ™‚ And as you might have noticed from my Instagram (@michaelablog) – I have teached my very first Yoga class. Actually I didn’t plan it at all and wanted to get all the impressions first get settled down a bit. And then later this year start with teaching. But what I learned from Bali: When people keep telling you that you can’t do a thing, you kind of like to try it. And most likely you won’t fail or at least get wiser out of the experience.

β€œThere is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” – Paulo Coelho

So but now back to my actual post-topic. I thought writing a short article about my experience about my stay in Ubud. As you know the Yoga Teacher training was very intense and so we had everything arranged and well planned ahead from the Yoga organization. We got picked up right at the airport and the first ride up the mountain to Ubud was an experience, I’ll tell you! Nothing compared to Swiss driving rules πŸ˜‰ Yeah, this was a bit shocking and observing how the Balinese driver curved the car along the ricefields and the narrow curves… Definitely a sweaty business and not to mention the humidity and heat I wasn’t used to (and this was super hard for the first days but eventually I got acclimatized. Our resorts were located about 10 minutes outside Ubud and I had a wonderful room with view on the ricefields.A real dream in the middle of nowhere.
Generally speaking, I have never met so many wonderful people, everyone was always super kind and helpful, even though not every local spoke English that good.
The Resorts had a private pool we were enjoying during lunch-breaks. Speaking of food – the resort prepared all our meals and you could literally taste the love it was prepared with. Everything was organic, fresh and of course vegetarian. But form Swiss taste buds sometimes a bit too spicy πŸ˜‰
Ubud itself is a super sweet and lovely village and the market is a bit overwhelming at first but when you get into bargaining it’s too much fun! What is even more amazing is that nearly all items are handmade πŸ™‚ I bought probably to many wooden bowls and silver yewelry πŸ˜› The long yellow colorful dress was probably my favorite item (apart from Yoga clothes) because it protected me from the heath and the nasty moscitos at night. πŸ™‚ And furthermore, it’s elegant for going out to dinner!
As small guide with amazing (tourist) spots to visit during your Bali vacation will follow soon!

Bali is the most magical place I’ve ever been!!! I want to go back soon too πŸ™‚ And the first lesson was amazing! It’s indescribable but the love and passion I felt was unique! You feel so much happiness when you are able to share your passion with others <3
You did your certificate as well, right?
What are you going to do in Bali? Travel or Yoga?
