I harp on about it over and over, but summer is my favorite season. I love the long days and warm evenings. I like the simple outfits; the ease of dressing. So many of my favorite outfits are summer outfits. Because dresses can be worn without tights and not having to worry about a jacket is even lovelier. Bright colors and combined with minimal jewelry pieces add a sweet and sophisticated touch to any dress.
Even though it is hot outside I love wearing my hair open and feel the summer breeze on my skin 🙂
I mean things are great right now, but I was struggling a lot behind the scenes. Ok, don’t get me wrong, not life wise but blog related. Actually, I was just living in the now, reading a lot offline, not carrying about incoming messages and calls. And god, this felt so good. It’s kinda freeing when you don’t feel that addicted to your electronical devices but rather prefer to go outside, chat with friends, do handicrafts or just look closer into yourself and your environment. I spoke to many beaufitul creative minds lately and basically got inspired for lot of different things. Not only that, but just living in the day and not stressing about my agenda had brought up lots of probably surprising chances I never thought of.
As I am staying here in Switzerland this summer I started exploring local places and let me tell you, it has opened my eyes to my evironment. You don’t have to go far (basically step out of your door) and you’ll find yourself surrounded with beautiful places.
So the reason on here for my absence on here, was partly a lack of motivation to go online, lack of right words to put my thoughts down and lastly also the absence of my dear photographer. Nonetheless, I have backed up about 30 half written posts, however never felt right to publish any… Still, I am so happy to have this virtual space where I share my passions with you guys. And furthermore your support is so heart-warming that it keeps me going 🙂 Now that I am back with new content I’d love to share three things that helped me to fall in love with my blog again 🙂
Take a break
Step away from the pressure and unwind from the online world as long as you need. It may be only one day or a week – it doesn’t matter. Putting yourself under pressure doesn’t help. You will know when you feel ready to come back.
Look for new inspiration
You don’t have to travel far abroad or do crazy things. Step outside, talk to people, go for a walk or read a book or magazine. You can find inspiration everywhere. Do whatever frees your mind.
Observe the signs
Sometimes your body sends out very distinctive signs but you ignore it. Trying to push more even you have already touched your limits. Listen to the signals and take a step back. No one will blame you for taking care of yourself.
